Copenhagen Footvolley host Nordic Footvolley tournament first edition!

Nordic Footvolley, a new organization created this year, was founded to connect and inspire footvolley communities across the Nordic region. The first tournament was hosted by Copenhagen Footvolley, marking an exciting milestone for the sport in the Nordics.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Amager Strand, the event brought together 30 teams, 60 players, and countless friends, families, and supporters. With sunny weather and over 20 degrees, it was the perfect day to celebrate, dance and compete.

The day wasn’t just about the playing—Copenhagen Footvolley ensured an all-around experience. Attendees enjoyed acai bowls and snacks from Oakberry, a delicious barbecue and lunch prepared by chef Mathias Sander, and entertainment by the Danish-Norwegian DJ duo Alina and Pri do Rolezin. Live music from Marcela Ferreira and Juan Cruz Escala added energy and atmosphere, creating a memorable event for everyone involved.

Building Community and Growing the Sport

We’re thrilled that so many players and supporters came together for this incredible event. The goal of Nordic Footvolley is to unite the Nordic countries, foster collaboration, and raise awareness of footvolley as a sport. By doing so, we aim to elevate the overall level of play while inspiring new players and regions to join the community.

Inclusivity was a key part of this event, welcoming players of all levels—especially beginners—to experience the game firsthand. Tournaments like these provide a great opportunity for everyone to feel the excitement of competition and the camaraderie that makes footvolley so special.

This tournament wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and teamwork of so many individuals and organizations. A huge thank you to all the players, clubs, and volunteers who participated, brought positive energy, and helped create such a vibrant atmosphere.
